Meet the Fall 2008 ExComm:

 

President: Aaron Ordower- aordower AT berkeley DOT edu

    Aaron Ordower is a senior Political Science and Spanish/Portuguese major. He studied abroad in Santiago, Chile as part of the University of California's EAP program.

    In 2007, he served as a State Department student intern at the American Embassy in Maputo, Mozambique and in 2008 interned with the Inter-American Dialogue's Andean Region Program in Washington, DC.  His interests include politics, diplomacy, soccer, aviation and foreign films, food and music.

 

External Vice President: Naomi Lew- naomilew AT gmail DOT com

    Naomi Lew is a third year majoring in International Political Economy with a concentration in technology policy in emerging economies. Her field of work is in start-up companies, and she hopes to go into Intellectual Property Law in the Information Industry in the near future. Outside of her academic life, Naomi enjoys current events, watching basketball (Bulls!), poker, cooking, debating/arguing about anything, and learning about the hip start-ups in the Bay Area.

 

Co-Membership Vice President: Derrick Metriyakool- 

dkmetriyakool AT berkeley DOT edu

    Derrick Metriyakool is a junior Political Economies of Industrialized Societies and South and Southeast Asian Studies major, and a Public Policy minor. This past summer he studied abroad in Beijing, China through the University of California's EAP program. His interests include Southeast Asia, politics, basketball, football, yoga, and snowboarding.

 

Internal Vice President: Lorenz Noe- lorenznoe AT berkeley DOT edu

    Lorenz Noe is a sophomore political science/intended PEIS major. He is from Germany and is interested in International Relations between Europe and America. He plans on going abroad in the Spring of 2009 to work in Bangladesh. He plans to spend next summer in Washington. His interests include futbol, food, world music, games and films.  

 

Treasurer: Rachel Whyte- rwhyte AT berkeley DOT edu

    Rachel Whyte is currently a sophomore and pursuing simultaneous degrees in International Political Economy and Society and Environment. She recently completed internship with Amazon Watch in San Francisco, an NGO working to protect both the Amazon Rainforest and the that people call it home. Additionally, in 2008 she spent one month in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala studying and working with the ICAmigos Reforestation Project. Rachel also serves as the recording secretary on the board of the United Nations Association, East Bay Chapter. Her interests include travel, Spanish, wrestling, cooking, international affairs and map memorization."

 

Secretary: Selina MacLaren- selinam AT berkeley DOT edu

    Selina MacLaren is a sophomore Political Economy of Industrial Societies major and an intended Rhetoric minor. She was born in Denmark   and visits family in Europe every year, and she plans to study abroad in India through the EAP program next Fall. Her interests include writing for The Daily Cal, learning about cultures and religion, writing, and dancing.
